If this is your first Golden Retriever, we hope you are ready for an exciting and loving relationship!
We believe that Goldens are the most intelligent, biddable, affectionate, and reliable large family dog available today. They are normally extremely gentle and trustworthy around even small children.
We have prepared a booklet detailing the early care of a new puppy and we would like to share it with you. It is a compilation of advice and information, some of which is fairly common knowledge and some of which is from our own personal 15+ years of experience owning Golden Retrievers. We have tried to put it all here in one place for your ease of reading and use.
We hope you will find it a quick but informative read and in this way we hope you can avoid some of the mistakes that we and many others have made. It is not the total sum of our knowledge, but a good reference when you have questions!
